This passionate string ensemble specialises in sparkling Solo Violin and Duo Violin performances, and features a contemporary, folksy Guitar & Violin Duo.
Based in Noraville, NSW and performing in the Central Coast, Hunter Valley, Lake Macquarie, Newcastle and Greater Sydney.
A boutique ensemble
Diamond Strings is a boutique ensemble and luxury service, directed by it’s founder and principal violinist, Melanie Cuthbertson.
The ensemble consists of a small selection of musicians that Melanie has hand-picked to work exclusively with for their exceptional musicality, stylish presentation, and their complete adoration of weddings.
The ideal level of sound
Unique to Diamond Strings is their state-of-the-art amplification service. This service is included in all Guitar & Violin Duo, and Solo Violinist packages. (Our Violin Duo performs acoustically.)
The discreet speaker system creates an even wash of sound, and the musicians are heard at the ideal background music level for your celebration.
The little things
Diamond Strings offer to provide their own chairs, and an outdoor umbrella in case of sprinkling weather. They have custom pegs for keeping their music in place during a breeze, and stand lights for twilight performances or for reading music under mood lighting.
Perfectly pretty
Melanie and her ensemble just love things to be perfectly pretty, performing with vintage style music stands, black leather folders, and always in stunning attire.

Every Diamond Strings booking is personally and comprehensively overseen by Melanie - who liaises with the couples, venues, celebrants and musicians to ensure beautiful and seamless music on the day.
The Diamond Strings musicians are throughly prepared and supported with detailed booking forms, and rehearsals when required. Melanie has chosen to focus on exquisite artistry over an inexpensive service, valuing her musicians by paying rates respective of their incredible talent.
Diamond Strings is also fully insured for Public Liability with Duck For Cover, and licensed with APRA AMCOS.
